Payment Methods

This Payment Methods Policy governs all payment-related terms for purchases made with PhotoMania Embrun, whether online or in-store.

By placing an order, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined in this policy.


1. Accepted Payment Methods

PhotoMania Embrun accepts the following payment methods:

  • Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Debit cards
  • Interac debit (in-store only)
  • Interac e-Transfer (eligible orders only)
  • Shopify-supported payment methods, including Shop Pay and other integrated gateways

All online payments are processed securely through Shopify or its authorized third-party payment processors.


2. Payment Processing and Authorization

All payments are subject to authorization and approval by the customer’s financial institution and/or payment provider.

PhotoMania Embrun does not guarantee approval of any transaction and is not responsible for:

  • Payment declines
  • Bank restrictions
  • Processing delays
  • Technical failures originating from third-party payment providers

Orders are not considered confirmed until full payment has been successfully authorized and received.


3. Fraud Prevention and Security

PhotoMania Embrun reserves the right to perform additional verification on any transaction suspected of fraud, misuse, or unauthorized activity.

We may, at our sole discretion:

  • Request additional identification or proof of ownership
  • Place a temporary hold on an order
  • Cancel any order deemed high-risk or suspicious
  • Report fraudulent transactions to relevant financial institutions or authorities when applicable

Any attempt at fraudulent payment, including the use of stolen or unauthorized payment methods, will result in immediate order cancellation and may lead to legal action.


4. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Customers agree not to initiate chargebacks without first attempting to resolve the issue directly with PhotoMania Embrun.

In the event of an unjustified or fraudulent chargeback:

  • The customer remains fully liable for the original transaction amount
  • PhotoMania Embrun reserves the right to dispute the chargeback with all supporting documentation (including order records, communication history, and proof of delivery or service completion)
  • Future transactions may be refused or permanently blocked
  • Additional administrative or recovery fees may be applied where legally permitted

PhotoMania Embrun treats chargeback abuse as fraudulent activity and reserves all legal rights in such cases.


5. Customer Responsibility

The customer is fully responsible for:

  • Providing accurate and complete payment information
  • Ensuring sufficient funds or credit availability
  • Verifying order details before completing payment
  • Using a valid and authorized payment method

PhotoMania Embrun is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect customer information or unauthorized use of payment methods.


6. Interac e-Transfer Payments

Where Interac e-Transfer is accepted:

  • Payment instructions will be provided at the time of order confirmation
  • Orders will only be processed once funds are received and fully confirmed
  • The sender is responsible for ensuring correct transfer details and security question compliance where applicable

PhotoMania Embrun is not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions or incorrect transfer details provided by the customer.


7. Pay on Pickup (If Applicable)

PhotoMania Embrun may, at its discretion, allow payment upon pickup.

This option:

  • May be restricted based on order type, value, or risk assessment
  • Requires customer verification of order details prior to payment
  • Does not constitute a binding reservation until confirmed by the company


8. Data Protection and Payment Security

All online transactions are processed through Shopify and its certified payment partners.

PhotoMania Embrun does not store full credit card information on its servers.

Payment data is handled in accordance with applicable PCI-DSS security standards and Shopify’s security infrastructure.


9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PhotoMania Embrun shall not be liable for:

  • Payment processing failures
  • Bank or card issuer decisions
  • Unauthorized use of payment methods by third parties
  • Delays caused by external payment processors or financial institutions


10. Policy Updates

PhotoMania Embrun reserves the right to modify this Payment Methods Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on the official website.
